Slanted Dog Bowls Are Perfect For Flat-Faced Breeds (Think Pugs…)
I had no idea slanted dog bowls even existed having never had a dog with no nose before! But, when we got our Pug puppy, Pearl, last year, I couldn’t believe how squished in her little pug nose was. In fact, her nose is almost inverted!
As I watched her feed alongside her three siblings, I noticed that she snorted and had to move the bowl around a lot.
Due to her lack of a muzzle, she had to put her whole face down against the bowl to get her food.
Poor Pearl spent more time chasing food around the bowl than eating. She’s sometimes get so frustrated she’d give up. I couldn’t let her miss her kibble!

How Do Slanted Dog Bowls Help Flat-Faced Breeds?
The slanted area inside the dog bowl allows the food to stay in one area, keeping that flat nose out of the bottom of the bowl and breathing easier.
These bowls work best for flat-nosed dogs, think Pug, Bulldog – basically any dog with a punched in nose!
These slanted dog bowls also work perfectly well for cats who need a whisker relief bowl (never heard of ‘whisker relief’ either….).
The slanted pet bowl above there is actually adjustable so that you can change the angle of the bowl. Reviewers comment though that, periodically, the bowl will shift when a pet is eating from it.
