Storage Bins For Dog Toys And Food – To Support The Dog Lover In You
Everyone knows that along with having a dog, comes some challenges for storage. There’s a LOT of stuff that accompanies a dog such as dog toys, dog food, medications, and, of course poop bags!
Our pack of four dogs seems like a hurricane blowing in the house sometimes. There’s toys, fur, drool – you name it.
We have little control over fur and drool on a daily basis, but, toy storage? That’s another thing.
With four dogs running around, our toy bins overfloweth.
That’s why we have three of storage bins for dog toys, one in each room on the first level of our dog-owned home.
We prefer the baskets that the dogs can ‘self-serve’ but there’s a benefit to having a taller storage bin so they can’t get in – or one with a top.
Dog toys will end up everywhere – trust me on this. So, every evening, I try to pick up and put away the stray dog bones, kongs, and stuffed animal toys. And, in about 10 minutes, there they are again!
And, if you’ve ever stepped on a hard dog bone while barefoot….well you know. It’s about a hundred times worse than stepping on a Leggo!
Now, if I could only train the pups to put their own toys away and to pick up the food they dribble everywhere.
Dog Toy Storage Bins
For our pack, we have a mixture of storage bins for the dog toys. I actually prefer the type with the lid so I have ‘some’ sort of control over the speed of distribution of another round of ‘throw that toy around.’ I think they might secretly be laughing while I swear and pick up the toys – again.

Dog Food Storage Bins
Our four current dogs eat two different foods. Woody, our new puppy, has Iams Puppy Food. The older dogs have Iams Weight-Control dog food. We have, currently, two different storage solutions for our dogs’ needs.
We have The Vault (first link below) to hold the 40 lb bags we get for the pack. Make SURE not to use THE Vault for outdoor storage as the squirrels tore the thing apart – it is NOT animal proof!
The middle link is a collapsible dog food storage container which is perfect for smaller homes.

Dog Feeding Stations With Storage
I didn’t realize these dog feeding stations were even on the market before researching this article. Since our bassets have to have Go-Slow Bowls to slow their gulping, a feeding stations isn’t right for us, but it could be for you.
