Seresto Flea Collars Prevent Fleas And Ticks
It’s no surprise that pet owners are aware of the negatives of flea and tick infestations. Not only do deer ticks carry such diseases as Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever but flea and tick bites can fester and cause a problem for your dog or cat.
We adopted one dog, Gizmo, who was so full of fleas, her back was bloody. A trip to the vet the next day for cortisone shot and $600 went down the drain.
Note: the adoption fee for a rescue dog might not be the only expense you can expect!
So, after the vet suggested we start using Seresto, we took the advice seriously. Seresto has been onboard our pets since 2013 when Bayer brought the flea and tick collars on the market.
During that time, I’ve never seen as much as one flea on any of our dogs. Ticks don’t have a chance.
There are many different flea collars on the market yet we believe that Seresto leads the pack in effectiveness and comfort.
We prefer using a flea collar over the NexGuard, the pill that needs a prescription. Whenever possible, we prefer a topical solution over to having a dog ingest a pesticide.
Seresto collars may appear to be a bit pricey, but ,they prevent flea and tick infestation for EIGHT months so the summer and fall seasons are covered – that comes out to about $8 per month.
Seresto collars are made for both dogs and cats. They can be used on puppies as young as 7 weeks or cats as young as 10 weeks.
Since Seresto has been so successful, there are a lot of imitation and fake collars on the market which have been associated with even some deaths. That’s why it’s incredibly important that you only buy your flea collar from a reputable source such as Amazon, Chewy, Costco or Sam’s Club.

Note: if it’s too cheap, it’s FAKE! Do not buy these off eBay!
