Bully Sticks Are The Perfect Chew For Every Dog
‘Bully Sticks For Every Dog’ sort of sounds like a campaign slogan of some sort but it’s not. It’s just a statement about bully sticks and the fact that every single dog on the planet goes nuts for them!
To us them seem ridiculously expensive but tell that to the bull who furnished the bully stick. Which brings me to a ‘sticky’ topic…
What Exactly IS A Bully Stick (AKA Pizzle Stix)?
Bully sticks are actually the bone inside the penis of a mature bull – that’s right, it’s the bone. For some reason, bully sticks are irresistible to every single dog to whom one has been offered.
BUT, there’s a pretty big drawback to a bully stick…that’s when the dog chew is chewed down to the last small end piece. Dogs can easily (and mine almost always do) choke on the thing, forcing me to put a hand down their throat to exact such.
So, I was happy to find Bully holders on the market. You just put the bully stick into the holder and it protects that very last piece, making a choking incident less likely.
Bully sticks come in various sizes and shapes so select that treat which is best suited to your dog.
Since the Bully holders are so important, I’m going to show them first…
Note: Pizzle sticks definitely have a certain odor – or, rather, most do. My experience is that, even the ones that say low-odor, have a smell. They also get very slimy so I suggest keeping them off the sofa or furniture.

We prefer to give American made treats to our dogs but, when it comes to pizzle sticks, we use those manufactured anywhere but China – please NEVER give any treat made in China.
