Dog Crate Furniture Is Not Only Functional But It’s Beautiful Too!
With three dogs running around our house, dog beds and dog crates are strewn all around our house. Sometimes, our house resembles more of a dog kennel instead of a home! But, since we’ve upgraded to dog crate furniture, friends don’t even know the dogs are there!
Dog crate furniture is what it sounds like; it’s a piece of furniture that doubles as a dog kennel. So, instead of having an ugly wire dog crate in the room, you’ll instead see a beautiful piece of wood furniture that Fido also calls home.
Dog crate furniture is mostly manufactured as end tables which work perfectly well as an accent piece of furniture for a living room or bedroom. I love that the top of the kennel becomes a solid surface upon which to put a book or a cup of coffee.
Most wooden pet crates come with a bottom tray just like a normal crate. The tray protects the floor from any accidents and is removable for easy cleaning as needed.
Note: a lot of the dog crate furniture pieces are not as secure as a regular crate. So, if you are in the process of crate training your pup, these accent pieces might not be the best choice. They’re better for dogs already acclimated to being in a crate.
Pet Crate Side Tables
Some dog crate furniture, like that first link below, is an especially nice piece of furniture as it can easily be converted into a pet gate – a very convenient feature if you’d like to secure your dog in a room instead of a dog crate.
